This Spring, in collaboration with The University of St Andrews and Historic Scotland, ADS will install Scotland’s first self-sustaining interactive kiosk.
ADS Owner, Campbell Cromar advised that the installation of this (literally) groundbreaking technology will take place in the next few weeks at St Andrew’s Cathedral. This three-way venture will allow all three parties to benefit by providing visitors to the site with the latest in interactive digital information.
For the first time, Historic Scotland will be able to get qualitative information feedback from the visitors whilst St Andrews will be able to trial their latest developments and carry out research into the psychology and ergonomics of touchscreen and gesture technologies for site interpretation.
ADS have designed the unit to meet exacting consent requirements as well as incorporating their latest touchscreen and Microsoft Kinect systems into a fully robust external kiosk design.
